Malcolm was born in Mexico City and raised in a small town called Hidalgo. He got into sports early — swimming, soccer, track — but the real turning point came in high school, training in his dad's garage gym. That's what pulled him into resistance training and, eventually, into changing his body, his habits, and how he thought about himself entirely.
After moving to Canada, he became a certified personal trainer, picking up BCRPA certification and a Pain-Free Performance Specialist credential. He's also competed in bodybuilding and trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, so his coaching draws on two very different kinds of physical demand — aesthetics-focused training and live combat sport. His approach centers on a simple belief: there's a place for everyone in the gym, and his job is to help people break through the self-limiting beliefs actually holding them back, not just hand them a program.
He joined the Kraken team on a referral from fellow trainer James Farina.
