From a young age, I was always a competitive person (from playing video games to sports) that structured how I would want to perform to the best of my abilities. Fortunately, this mindset is still alive to this day, and helped me turn my passion for fitness into a lifestyle. I was able to workout five times each week while juggling school/work, basketball, family and friend relationships. I considered the gym as my “sanctuary”, as it made me feel at peace, not having to worry about anything else. I’ve been able to gain the confidence to be the best version of myself through the discipline, consistency and dedication to the gym. However, it wasn’t always like this.

I sometimes struggled in my younger years with self-consciousness to “look good” or to have “big muscles”. It didn’t occur until I just after I turned 21, where I made the initiative to buy a gym membership and start exercising. Some may say that I should have started years ago, but in my mind, it is never too late to start working out!

I’ve always wanted to help people in some sort of capacity, but never knew what that was. Now as a personal trainer, I realized that this was the answer: to help others obtain that motivation, whatever it may be, to achieve a certain body weight or perform a particular lifting exercise that they never thought was once possible. As long as you can bring a “can-do” attitude, there’s nothing that YOU can’t achieve.
